A New Contract

In case you’ve been wondering what my big news was from when I last posted, I can finally crow because I’ve signed my name on the dotted line and committed myself to a deadline. Yep. I received a new contract for another Emmett’s Mill story. Let me tell you a little about this story. You will meet Josh Halvorsen in Tasha’s story (RETURN TO EMMETT’S MILL, January 08) and my new story is about Dean, Josh’s oldest brother. I think readers will love him. He’s that man you love to love, gruff yet tender, a man whose word is his bond, the kind you want to devour in private yet can still take home to the parents. *insert dreamy sigh here* I’m having a lot of fun writing his story. This is the first time I’ve seen the hero in my head before the heroine, although Dean’s heroine, Annabelle, is no shrinking violet. That’s all I’ll say for now but don’t worry, I’ll chat some more about this story as I go along.
Also, I said I’d post a picture of my last booksigning in Mariposa so here I am flanked by my two best friends, Jaycee and Nicole, at Synchronicity, the best metaphysical/New Age bookstore ever. Aren’t we cute? Nicole had just asked me to be a bridesmaid in her upcoming wedding. I was so honored. I should probably stop eating now so I can fit in whatever dress she picks out for us!

Oh, and I’m in the process of revamping my website to reflect an Emmett’s Mill theme. I think I may be there awhile 😉 It’s such a great place, don’t you think?

Happy writing,

Kimberly

  2. Thanks sista! It’s pretty good news all around. 🙂 Except the part where I have to squeeze into a bridesmaid dress. I might have to stop eating today to fit into a dress by January!
